Institute for OneWorld Health Announces Hiring Of Susan Moriconi as Vice President of Human Resources

The Institute for OneWorld Health, the US-based non-profit pharmaceutical company that develops drugs for people with infectious diseases in the developing world, today announced the appointment of Susan Moriconi as Vice President of Human Resources.

“I am delighted to join OneWorld Health and contribute to its mission of providing safe, affordable, and effective medicines to the world’s most impoverished communities,” said Moriconi. “It’s gratifying to work with a committed team of scientists, physicians and global health experts to advance this compelling initiative.”

Moriconi will serve as a key member of OneWorld Health’s executive leadership team and provide human resources leadership and expertise to all levels of the organization in both the San Francisco and India offices. She brings more than two decades of experience helping organizations manage growth, change, corporate culture and talent recruitment and retention.

“Susan’s deep experience leading human resources for science and technology-based global companies will contribute significantly to our continued success,” said James H. Hickman, Vice President, Communications and Fund Development.

Prior to joining OneWorld Health, Moriconi served as Vice President of Human Resources Communications for Boston Scientific, and as Vice President of Human Resources for the company’s western region. Before joining Boston Scientific in 1997, Moriconi served in a number of human resources positions designing and managing health care programs at Hewlett Packard Company. Moriconi holds a Bachelor’s degree in sociology from University of the Pacific, where she also completed coursework towards a Master’s Degree in Psychology of Stress, and holds an MBA in Marketing from Santa Clara University.
